Writing is its own reward.
– Henry Miller
Nothing brings me as much pleasure as allowing the flow of words to move from the universe through me as words on a page. How incredible it is to look down and see an unexpected manifestation of my thoughts becoming visible as if written with invisible ink. My fingers then make those thoughts visible to the world, becoming an incredible gift for me as the writer. I may have an idea of what I want to write, but the substance comes from a place unknown – deep down in the well of me – my soul. How awesome is that! Accepting this as a special gift given to me keeps me humble as I give respect to a power far bigger than myself.
Since I was in my teens, I always loved to write. I wrote every day in my diary beginning when I was about 15. When I went to college, it was a thrill for me just to write a paper in English class. But it was not until I was over fifty years old that I discovered the real magic in writing. I was encouraged by a friend to write my first book. I thought that was so absurd! I didn’t know a thing about writing a book and surely did not think that was my gift! But she just wouldn’t let up, and I finally acquiesced. That decision totally changed my life.
For over two decades now, I have been on a writing high – writing almost every day as a freelance writer. You would think I would grow tired of doing this, but I genuinely love this. I work daily to sharpen my writing skills, and I love calling myself a scribe without hesitation but with much humility. I am humbled by the thought that God trusted me enough to handle my being a writer, knowing I would use it for good.
I work hard to use my words to make a positive difference in the lives of others and to impact how we all look at the world around us. I am forever grateful to God for this gift he’s given me.

I love how you’ve expressed this, Pauline. It’s amazing how when we write from our heart it seems to resonate within us and with others too.

Thank you Corrine. There’s something about this 100 Word Challenge that I just love. I look forward to the next one I chose to tackle. Write Tribe ignites that spark within my soul:]] Pauline

The best kind of writing happens when your hand moves of its own accord, your heart dictates and it writes.
