OVERCOMING OVERCAST

Today I woke to a very gray and overcast day. Seems as if the birds are affected as well – don’t hear them singing as loud outside my window. I love to wake to that sound of jubilation. But overcast or sunny skies – life goes on full speed. And no matter how fast or slow the ride, or how gray or bright the skies – we can make it well worth the ride.

I read a blog today about one of the seven deadly sins – sloth – and thought “OH MY!” – never thought that applied to me but sometimes it does. When I feel it creeping in – like sludge in a grease trap – I fight like crazy to dig thru the gook and garbage that brings on this immobility that can choke the life out of a joyful spirit. We all probably experience that every now and then – God forbid that we should be in a sloth spot all the time.

Life is full of so many wonderful experiences right under our noses. We don’t have to venture far. Every day can be an adventure – big or small. I did a VISION BOARD this year for the first time and every day I find something on that board that I include in each day I wake – FEELING GOOD, DREAMING BIG, SPEAKING UP, PLANNING DAILY… I keep a big calendar above my desk and make sure that every day has something productive accomplished — sometimes just for myself and other times for someone else. There is a blessing in every one of our steps forward.

Life is gone in a flash so we must find joy — even in small stuff.

WOW!!! When I tell you that you need to write/blog more, this is what I’m talking about. The way you paint words on a canvass is simply joyful. You manage to bring your thoughts to life is such a magical way. I’m telling you, your gift is simply amazing and I hope you continue to share it more.
Just dust off that slothfulness… and get to writing. I’m a big fan.
