Tonight those who believed in and supported President Barack Obama are so joyful but a huge majority of the country are busy as we celebrate, plotting the failure of his next four years in office. The enemy never sleeps! I am thrilled about the victory but know full well that not much has changed — one political analyst described what is about to happen as “the big showdown”.
But I am so thankful that we have a President who has no enemy within his spirit so the enemies outside cannot hurt him. That was evidenced by his victory tonight.
Our entire United States need to now live up to our name! Political divisions have divided states, have divided cities, have divided friends and even families. But like any strong family we must fix what is broken and stand together against the real enemy outside our shores.
I thought I couldn’t be more proud than I was the night that President Obama was elected in 2008, but tonight I was even more proud!! I fail to see what his adversaries see…
I am more inspired to do my part to give my love, duty and charity to this country as our President charged all of us to do tonight and I pray that even those who oppose our President’s politics, will work with him to achieve the greater good for all of us individually and collectively.
May God continue to bless and keep us despite our failures to learn the lessons.
