I look forward to the summer Olympics and sit in awe of the incredible athletes who work so hard to get to this pinnacle in their lives. One of the most incredible athletes this year is 16-yea-old “Gabby” Douglas – gymnast. Some very thoughtless people chose to comment on her hair and failed to focus on the most obvious things about “Gabby” — her humble spirit, her love for her gift, her magnetic spirit and incredible focus and determination. Who in the world could have missed that?!

We still have so far to go. I continue to pray for unity, insight and our ability to see beyond ourselves. Very often what we criticize in others is really a reflection of what we see in ourselves.
